The PlayStation 5 Pro brings three Major Key Features along with others that make it Sony’s most powerful console to date, nearly double the power of the PlayStation 5.
The Big Three
Upgraded GPU: With PS5 Pro, the GPU will hold 67% more Compute Units than the current PS5 console and will have 28% faster memory. Overall, this will enable the console to render gameplay 45% faster, making the experience much smoother.
Advanced Ray Tracing: Major upgradation are also being put in the PS 5 Pro’s ability to have much more powerful ray tracing, allowing double the rays to be cast and sometimes even triple the amount of the current PlayStation 5
AI-Driven Upscaling: PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) is also introduced. This AI-driven upscaling uses machine learning-based technology to provide super-sharp image clarity by adding more details and enhancing the visual fidelity of the PlayStation 5 Pro.

The PlayStation 5 Pro will launch at $699.99 USD, £699.99 GBP, €799.99 EUR, and ¥119,980 JPY (including tax) globally on November 7 2024. The PS5 Pro is a disc-less console, but users can choose to buy the existing PS5 Disc Drive separately if they prefer physical media.
