12 Character Classes

Path of Exile 2 offers 12 character classes which cover almost all combinations of strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence. Each class has a different and unique playstyle, but they are just at the starting point. As you progress through the game you can mix and match skills from the other classes to create the perfect build for yourself. The 12 classes have three Ascendancy specializations, which gives you a total of 36 options to pick from.
Brand New Skill Gem System

In Path of Exile 2 you have 240 Skill Gems that provide powerful active skills, along with 200 Support Gems designed to modify their effects. You can mix and match these gems to create your perfect build. New change, Support Gems now directly slot into Skill Gems, simplifying the process compared to the previous system. However, the depth remains the same. Additionally, every skill your character uses can now be linked with up to six other gems.
Specialize Your Passive Skill Tree in Two Ways

The edition of the game brings the iconic passive skill tree back, offering you 1500 skills that allow you to personalize your gameplay experience. Dual Specialization is also a feature in this game, it lets you assign passive skill points to two different sets of skills. You can activate these based on the weapons, and skill type you use. For say, you can allocate some points to daggers and traps or be it ice and lightning. This gives you the ability to specialize the multiple areas without losing out on options.
The Story is Far From Over

Turns out, finishing the campaign is just the beginning. Path of Exile 2 offers you endless areas across various biomes, tough bosses to deal with, powerful crafting, unique encounters, and more. New paths are waiting to be unlocked and dive deeper into the world. You will be able to unlock new special passive trees as you advance in the game.
