No Man’s Sky Latest 5.28 Patch Notes 

No Man’s Sky received yet another hotfix with Patch 5.28 fixing small issues in the game following recent 5.0 patches applying hotfix to many performance and bugs in the game. Hello Games is constantly supporting their game years after its launch in 2016 and with a beloved community behind it, even the Sky is not the limit for No Man’s Sky anymore. The current state of No Man’s Sky 

When No Man’s Sky was originally released in 2016 and was quite a controversial launch with the game being a buggy and unplayable mess. The game was missing huge chunks of content from the launch with major features like customization, planetary exploration, proper multiplayer and proper foliage & fauna interactions, build bases, and more. 

Hello Games has added more content to the game over the years and turned No Man’s Sky into an immersive space exploration experience with a sandbox appeal gaining back the trust of fans and the gaming community. In its latest rounds of patches, Hello has fixed many overlapping issues for the game including hotfixes, adjustments to features, and performance issues for the game. 

Latest Patch 5.28 Features 

The latest No Man’s Sky Patch 5.28 after Patches 5.26 and 5.27 was released earlier this month. The hotfixes are not content updates and add no new elements to the game, the fixes are for known issues in the game, concerning the many gameplay bugs present in the current version of No Man’s Sky. The fixes are for some 20 known issues in the game including a glitch with ship types not being able to find landing sites, graphical glitches, camera transition while saving at a savepoint along with many more.

  • Added a number of memory optimizations.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause other player’s bases to not appear on PS4 & PS5.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause multiplayer connections to fail on PS5.
  • Improvements to cross-save flow on PS5 & Switch.

Patch 5.27 Bug Fixes & Patch Notes 

  • Fixed an issue that could cause some ship types to fail to find a landing site.
  • Fixed a crash related to flying the starship over land.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause graphical corruption when talking to NPCs on Switch.

Patch 5.26 Bug Fixes & Patch Notes 

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Boundary Herald starship to have difficulty finding a clear landing site.
  • Fixed visual issues with the canopy animation when getting into the Boundary Herald starship.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent connection to the discovery servers.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the cross-save banner to appear when not relevant.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the save spinner to display for longer than necessary.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could prevent some saves from loading correctly.
  • Fixed a rare issue related to upgrading very old saves.
  • Fixed a number of issues with the camera transition when saving at a waypoint.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could cause some saves to become stuck while loading.
  • Introduced a texture memory optimization.
