As Naughty Dog dropped The Last of Us Part 2 back in 2020, there have been rumors about their new game launch ever since. And, here it is. Naughty Dog revealed its latest game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet as the show-closer of The Game Awards 2024.

This sci-fi game ventures out into space. As the developers revealed, it is going to be the wildest, most creative story ever launched by Naughty Dog. Let’s dive into the trailer launch as dropped by them and have a look at its cosmic setting and the back story.

Sneak Peak into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Since Naughty Dog dropped the teaser in the closing ceremony of the Game Awards 2024, there has been a lot of buzz in the gaming space. The trailer features Jordan, the protagonist, played by actress Tati Gabrielle. It shows her stranded on a planet named Sempiria. The planet has no communication with the universe outside and anyone, who ever ventured through it could never make out of it, the developers revealed. The game expects Jordan to use all possible skills and wit as she plans to be the first person to be freed from the planet in over 600 years.

The teaser begins with Jordan shaving her head, adding a “woke” element to the retro-futuristic theme of this sci-fi game. The trailer shows her venturing into space in a Porsche spaceship, equipped with a pistol and a laser sword. This takes us to the type of game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet could be. As per the weapons shown, the game appears to be both, a shooting game along with being a Slasher.

The teaser ends with a bang. It features Jordan attacking a monster robot with a red laser sword, leaving the gamers in much anticipation.

Summary
