Realms servers have been experiencing issues since August 13th, with many players reporting the issues on X and other social media platforms. Apparently, the problems started around the same time Mojang rolled out a new Minecraft update, 1.21.20, which included updates to Realms invite links as well as various bug fixes.
Mojang also took to X on August 15th and tweeted that the Realms team was working “around the clock” to fix the issues. Also stating, “The Realms team is still working hard to restore the service globally. We appreciate your continued patience as we are doing everything we can to get you all playing on Realms again.”

Minecraft Realms subscribers also took to X, replying to Mojang’s official tweets after any failed attempts to restore the servers. Fans started grilling the Developer in the comment sections of their Twitter.
One Hilarious incident on August 18th with Mojang tweeting that “As of now roughly 70% of players should have access.” With players starting a poll in the comment section with over 19000 votes. This turned into a huge fiasco for Mojang to go into overdrive and fix the issues as soon as possible.
