What’s the New Update?
Konami has come up with a new patch note for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, where you will have the opportunity to access the screen settings and enhance the game’s graphics and resolutions. There are various upgrades that come along with it and they are just too cool to be true.
- Screen Setting Features: The new feature Screen Setting has been added to the options menu. You need to adjust these settings before starting the game.
- 4K Resolution: You can increase the resolution to 4K on Steam. PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Xbox Series S.
- MGS 2 and MGS 3: You can decide your screen options for MGS 2 and MGS 3. This upgrade is not available for MGS 1.
Internal Upscaling
This Metal Gear Solid Master Collection 2.0 upgrade purely depends on your gaming console. They are applicable for Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox X|S. Sadly, this option is unavailable for Switch users. These are the highest resolution settings each system can support for upscaling.
- PlayStation®5: 4K
- PlayStation®4: FHD
- PlayStation®4 Pro: 4K
- Xbox Series X: 4K
- Xbox Series S: WQHD
The Presets
There are some presets you can choose from to adjust the resolution.
- Original Mode: This is the game’s original resolution, and it will be displayed to you automatically at the beginning of the game.
- Adjusted Mode: This is the highest resolution your system can support and will be better than the original. This can be adjusted according to your interest.
- Custom Mode: Custom Mode allows you to pick from different upscaling and resolution options to match your console and screen.
Movie Resolution
You also have the chance to enhance the in-game movie resolution. This will make the visuals of the cutscenes and videos sharper and clearer. You can choose between the original or high-resolution options, or keep it at the default original setting if preferred.
Controller Settings
Controller Settings are also added to the Screen Settings Feature where you can assign controls for your controller. Additionally, some other minor issues have also been fixed for a smoother gaming experience.
