Marvel’s Wolverine is taking Logan on a global journey, and Insomniac Games has now revealed several locations that players will visit throughout the game. The recent Features Trailer and official PlayStation details have confirmed four major locations: Shinjuku, Japan; Madripoor; Telambang; and the Canadian Wilderness. From the snowy Canadian wilderness to the streets of Tokyo and the dangerous island of Madripoor, these locations will give Wolverine’s journey a much wider scope than a single-city setting.

All 4 Marvel’s Wolverine Confirmed Locations: Quick Overview
- Confirmed Locations: 4
- Locations: Shinjuku, Japan; Madripoor; Telambang; Canadian Wilderness
- Game: Open-world action-adventure
- Main Character: Wolverine / Logan
- More Locations: Possible, but not confirmed yet
- Insomniac has used real-world location scanning to add authentic environmental details.
- The game takes Logan across multiple regions as part of its original story.
Shinjuku, Japan
Shinjuku, Japan is one of the confirmed locations in Marvel’s Wolverine. The Tokyo setting gives the game a major urban environment far removed from Wolverine’s Canadian roots. Insomniac has also conducted extensive scanning trips across Japan to capture real-world materials, architecture, and environmental details for the game.
The studio’s Japan research included Tokyo as well as mountainous regions, bamboo forests, temples, and underground transit areas. More than 600 scans across four biomes were captured during the trip, giving the development team real-world references to work from.
Madripoor
Madripoor is perhaps the most recognizable Marvel location among the four. The fictional island nation has a long history in Wolverine’s comic-book stories, and Marvel’s Wolverine brings it into Insomniac’s version of Logan’s world. Players will visit Lowtown, one of Madripoor’s districts, and can explore areas such as the Princess Bar, which is run by Tyger.
The location also serves as a place where Wolverine can interact with characters including Jean Grey, Mystique, and Sabretooth. Madripoor isn’t simply a backdrop either. Players can explore its streets, find collectibles, discover hidden areas, and interact with Wolverine’s allies between major story moments.
Telambang
Telambang is another confirmed location and plays an important role early in the game. According to PlayStation’s hands-on report, the opening mission takes place in the wilds of Telambang, where Wolverine reunites with Team X for a mission involving Bolivar Trask’s facility.
This section introduces players to Wolverine’s combat abilities while establishing the game’s conflict surrounding mutants, Trask, and the Reavers. Telambang therefore appears to be more than a brief location. It is directly connected to the opening of Wolverine’s story and the game’s early missions.
Canadian Wilderness
The Canadian Wilderness is another confirmed location and one that fits Wolverine particularly well. The snowy wilderness provides a major contrast to the urban environments of Tokyo and Madripoor.
PlayStation’s official Marvel’s Wolverine page specifically lists the frosted Canadian Wilderness among the game’s locations. The Canadian setting also connects naturally with Logan’s character and history, making it an important part of the game’s global journey.
Marvel’s Wolverine Is Taking Logan Around the World
These four locations show just how much Insomniac is expanding the scope of Marvel’s Wolverine. Players will move between very different environments, from the streets of Shinjuku and Madripoor to the wilderness of Canada and the remote setting of Telambang.
Insomniac has also emphasized that the game features an original story that takes Logan to different parts of the world as he faces threats including the Reavers, Omega Red, and other enemies.
