And, ahead of the release of this new season, NetEase Games dropped the first look of Sanctum Sanctorum Map.
Filled with mysterious relics and protected by ancient wards, the setting looks quite mystical and offers a quick look into the new season. As already known, Dracula will be the main villain in Season 1, dooming New York into darkness. The Fantastic Four are going to make a dope entry fighting Dracula, joining hands with other characters to bring light to the eternal night that has fallen on New York. And, this map is exactly where you start. Let us have a look at what we know about Sanctum Sanctorum.
What is the Sanctum Sanctorum Map in Marvel Rivals?
Sanctum Sanctorum is one of the three new maps coming to Season 1. This will act as the location for the new gaming mode coming to Marvel Rivals called the Doom Match. The Doom Match game mode will let 8-10 players from different factions conquer against each other on one single map, which is Sanctum Sanctorum. Other than this, the new season will feature two more maps, namely, the New York Midtown and Central Park.
Midtown will act as a location for the new convoy mission where heroes will clash on the streets to fulfill objectives. Well, the developers have not yet revealed a lot about Central Park Map. But, we can expect it to come somewhere in the middle of the season, launching with the mid-season update.
Marvel Rivals Map Reveal Trailer
The Sanctum Sanctorum Map, as showcased in the trailer, features magnificent decor along with some bizarre sights. The trailer starts with the kitchen where floating utensils along with a squid-like creature wiggling through the refrigerator is shown. As the trailer proceeds, winding staircases, flying bookshelves, and gleaming artifacts are shown occupying the house. We also see a painting of Dr. Strange hanging on the wall, confirming that the setting is none other than his house.
As Dracula, the antagonist has set a trap to capture Dr. Strange, players can expect this entrapment to happen in this version of the map. The trailer ends with Dr. Strange’s dog sleeping peacefully, hinting at nothing directly on what might happen. As the trailer moves further, we also see Wong’s portrait hanging on the wall. And, to mention, he is not a character yet. Is it a hint towards his arrival to Marvel Rivals? This is yet unknown but one thing we are sure of is that the game is unquestionably going to come up with a lot of surprises for its players, keeping up the buzz around it.
