Coming as disappointing news for fans of the game, Released in 2017 the game found success with the loyal fan base of the cult movies and was a well-made asymmetrical multiplayer horror title. Friday the 13th Game Saga & Delisting 

Friday the 13th game was a success upon its launch and saw decent player numbers and activity during its release in 2017. The game was a first-of-its-kind experience with it being a faithful adaptation of the Friday the 13th movie franchise, giving birth to many copycats and other movie-inspired titles after its release and delisting. The 2017 “Friday the 13th: The Game” was developed by IllFonic and published by Gun Media, unfortunately, the devs ran into legal troubles and disputes over the franchise rights.

Unfortunately, the developers weren’t able to push out any new content for the game and keep supporting it with future updates due to the franchise’s legal issues. Despite the challenges, the game garnered a fan following and was available for sale until Dec 31 2023 when the game was delisted for good. 

Servers Shutdown 

Fans will be able to play the game one last time and experience Friday the 13th: The Game before the servers are shut down on December 31, 2024. This will mark the last day for the game’s multiplayer component, after the 31st the servers will shut down and players won’t be able to access the multiplayer or any of its features ever again.

Friday the 13th is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Fans who owned a copy before the game was delisted can head straight into the multiplayer today.
