Konami revealed the next entry in the Silent Hill Series two years back with the last Silent Hill Transmission. Silent Hill f is currently in development under Neobards Entertainment who have previously worked on several of Capcom Games including the horror shooter series Resident Evil. The devs are also the ones behind the multiplayer mod in RE Village, Silent Hill f will be the team’s first go at full-blown game development.
The story of the game is being written by the famous Japanese writer Ryukishi07 known for his When They Cry visual novel series. With Motoi Okamoto being named as the producer for the project.
Silent Hill f Story & Setting
The short trailer showcased a Japanese village abandoned and doused in a foggy mist with a girl standing over some memorial. As the trailer goes on we see snippets of the village being taken over by some disease while the world rapidly decays. As the trailer moves from scene to scene the girl can be seen being taken over by the said disease in a very grotesque manner. Covering her entire body with this bio-tentacle abomination (It’s actually pretty disgusting tbh, so I advise you to watch the trailer only if you can stand that sh#t)
So far little is known about the story of f except the girl featured in the trailer and cover art. This can be taken as a hint for the game’s protagonist. As with past Silent Hill games, the village could serve as a safe zone, while the decayed areas represent the nightmarish “otherworld.” Fans will have to wait till March 13 to tune in to the Silent Hill Transmission and find all the answers.
