KCD 2 New Hardcore Mode Release Date
There’s a new Hardcore Mode being added to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. It’s arriving in the third week of April as a free update on all platforms. You must have tried the easy and hard difficulty, but this one’s HARDCORE. The gameplay was also so engaging, and the game world was so rich, now imagine all that with a thousand more challenges. Though the Hardcore Mode is considered to make the game next to a nightmare, it will also make it more exciting.
KCD 2 New Hardcore Mode Features
The Hardcore Mode in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 seems like an attempt to make the game much harder. Probably one of the pros will be able to survive it. But do not go for the Hardcore Mode directly; proceed gradually from medium to hard and then try out Hardcore Mode. With most the convenience features being taken away, the game will now become too hard to handle. From saving, survival, and navigation, to UI, all is gonna take a toll on your gameplay. Will you be able to take it?
- Saving: No autosaves here. You can only save by using Saviour Schnapps, sleeping, going to a bathhouse, or quitting the game.
- Survival: Health and stamina are super hard to spot. Food and potions work slowly, and cooking pots don’t help much.
- Navigation: Fast travel is gone. You can’t see where you are on the map. There are no compass markers either, just wander around and hope to find the way.
- Combat: Fighting is way tougher in the Hardcore Mode. There are no hints for timing or direction. You gotta figure it all out yourself.
- Economy: Selling stuff gets you less money and fixing gear costs way more. Being poor is real here.
- UI: Most of the helpful info on-screen is removed. You’re basically flying blind.
- Negative Perks: You need to pick 2–3 permanent “bad traits.” Like randomly walking into the woods while asleep or bleeding way too easily.
