Is Superman returning to Fortnite? Well, in time for the highly anticipated next Superman film, DC might be back with another Fortnite collaboration. This time, they may bring back the Superman skin for the new season. The Star Wars-themed Galactic Battle season concludes on June 7, 2025, and the next season starts on June 8, 2025. There is no information disclosed about the theme of the new season, but a few leaks point towards Superman returning to Fortnite. Let’s discover more!
History of Fortnite and DC
Fortnite has featured many singers, rappers, actors, and characters as part of its collaborations. Some of these include Sabrina Carpenter, Travis Scott, Eminem, Thor, Deadpool, Moon Knight, and more. DC characters, in particular, have been a significant part of Fortnite for a long time. Some of the DC characters that have appeared in the game before include:

2019: Catwoman Comic Book Outfit – The first DC skin introduced in Fortnite, along with the Batman Comic Book Outfit and The Dark Knight Movie Outfit.
2020: Harley Quinn, Aquaman, Black Manta, The Last Laugh Bundle (Poison Ivy, The Joker).
2021: Green Arrow, Flash, Rebirth Raven, Superman (Clark Kent), Wonder Woman, Bloodsport.
2022: Black Adam (alongside its movie release).
Since then, there have been fewer DC skins, with most being returning ones and only a few new additions, including the following:

2024 – 2025: Feudal Gotham Set (Ninja Knight Batman, Karuta Harley Quinn), Starfire, Harley Quinn & Rebirth Harley Quinn, The Flash, Karuta Harley Quinn & Ninja Knight Batman, Wonder Woman, and lastly, Poison Ivy & The Joker (The Last Laugh Bundle).
New Superman Skin in Fortnite
Man of Steel is no stranger to the action shooter game Fortnite. Players previously unlocked a Clark Kent/Superman skin as part of Chapter 2 Season 7’s Battle Pass in 2021. It featured classic comic book styling and transformation emotes. However, the leaked skin is rumored to be closely modeled on the new Superman actor and costume from James Gunn’s Superman. The film is making its theatrical debut on July 11, 2025, which is two weeks before Marvel’s Fantastic Four First Steps.
Leakers who have previously confirmed leaks for Deadpool and Wolverine movie variants also confirm that The Falcon and Red Hulk, along with a few more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, are coming to Fortnite. There are also new characters being introduced in the upcoming Superman film who have never appeared in Fortnite before. These include Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific. Could there be more Marvel and DC skins in the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4?
New Skins and Cosmetics
The single-player/ multiplayer game has never disappointed in terms of skins and bundles. And Players can anticipate a whole new range. In addition to Superman, other DC characters might make appearances, and original superhero designs could be introduced. This is not yet confirmed by Epic Games, but these additions would likely be available through the Battle Pass and the Item Shop.
In the Star Wars-themed Chapter 6, Season 3 – Galactic Battle, we saw unlockable skins of iconic Star Wars characters. These included Poe Dameron, Chewbacca, Emperor Palpatine, and General Grievous. Traditional Fortnite weapons were replaced with Star Wars armaments like Lightsabers, Blasters, and Thermal Imploders.

Similarly, the new season might include more than just a skin. A Superman-themed bundle could be on the way, complete with a custom back bling, a themed glider, laser vision, a new emote, new superpowers, possibly new maps, and more.
Summary
While there’s no official confirmation just yet, all signs point to July being the launch window for the new Superman set. This is projected to happen around the release of James Gunn’s Superman film in July. The new Fortnite season could also feature new Marvel and DC characters, emotes, maps, abilities, and more. So, whether you are a Marvel or a DC fan, July is surely going to be an epic month for Fortnite.
