Summary
Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be one of the biggest game releases of 2025. EA and DICE are going all-in on a long-awaited return to form, bringing back the large-scale warfare and tactical depth that made the series iconic. Early impressions have been overwhelmingly positive, with many new and veteran players praising the revamped gunplay, destruction, and focus on close-quarter team-based objectives.
With Call of Duty’s popularity slowly fading due to repetitive releases, player fatigue, and the Fortnite-ification of COD, BF 6 is seizing the opportunity to reclaim its position at the top of the FPS genre. The Battlefield community is livid, and expectations are sky high for Battlefield 6 to redefine large-scale military multiplayer games.
