Fortnite just dropped its second story mission of Chapter 5, Season 4, and this time, it is all about Doctor Doom. Unlike that first mission featuring Gwenpool, this one is out in the open, so you can dive right in without needing to unlock anything special. ‘Are We Doomed?’ Questline Breakdown
Here’s a quick look at all the stages in the Doctor Doom-themed quest:
- Stage 1 – Deal damage to opponents at Castle Doom, Doomstadt, or The Rift (500)
- Stage 2 – Search the Redline Rig for evidence
- Stage 3 – Take Doom’s Helmet to Hope
- Stage 4 – Eliminate Henchmen from over 30 meters (3)
- Stage 5 – Find Dooms logs on the memorial statue and the Fractured Four
- Stage 6 – Harvest a Control Chip by dealing a headshot to Doom’s henchmen
Now, let me break down each stage and show you where you can quickly complete them without breaking a sweat.
Stage 1: Damage Henchmen
For Stage 1, you’re to deal 500 damage to opponents within Castle Doom, Doomstadt, or The Rift. We say head to the middle of The Raft. NPCs and all elements are so jumbled up in this place that you will always catch the targets to beef up the damage. But you keep your wits about you; some NPCs are powerful. But once you hit that 500-damage threshold, you’re good to go!
Stage 2: Investigate the Redline Rig
It’s time to head to the Redline Rig. When you arrive, go to Pandora’s Box. On the ground nearby is a piece of armour—grab it to listen to an audio log in which Jones and Hope discuss their plans to study the armour further. It’s straightforward if you can dodge the other players.
Stage 3: Deliver Doom’s Helmet to Hope
This level is as simple as the title reads. Having taken the armour, deliver it to Hope, found in a hut in Sandy Steppes. Just deliver the helmet, and you’re done with this bit of the quest. It is just as simple as it has been worded!
Stage 4: Defeat Enemies from Over 30 Meters
Task: Eliminate three enemies from a distance greater than 30 m. An excellent location to do this is Doomstadt. The place is just swarming with AI forces that usually stay put, allowing you to pick them off one by one from a distance. Get your sniper or a trusty AR and get to an excellent vantage point so you can take them out.
Stage 5: Find Doom’s Logs
During this step of the mission, you will search for two specific logs: Approaching the Fantastic Four sign near Doomstadt, you will find a few Memos to pick up. When picked up, these will unlock an audio log from Doom himself, in which he speaks about shaping the world in his likeness.
Then, travel by the memorial statue to Rebel’s Roost; as soon as you pick up the second log, the following audio message from Doom plays, in which he broadcasts that he’s going to form a new kingdom. Two logs down, one more for the final stage!
Level 6: Get a Control Chip
Headshot one of the Doom Henchmen. These guys are in all the Marvel POIs. Once you do that headshot, they go down, dropping a control chip. Grab that, and Hope will call you next in the message that you need to meet up with her. Just like that, we have finished up the challenge!
