Fortnite Ballistic: Game Launch and Initial Impressions

As Epic Games released the early access to Fortnite Ballistic on December 11, 2024, the gaming world is going all crazy with this new 5v5, FPS integrated gaming. This first person shooter, 5v5 game is all set to test the strategic teamwork and individual prowess of its players, as they step into the world of Fortnite Ballistic.

Lets delve deeper into the gameplay along with analyzing what gamers across the world have to say about this newly released Fortnite Ballistic.

The Gameplay

As we dive into the gameplay of Fortnite Ballistic, it consists of two teams, the offenders or the attackers and the defenders. In this action packed game, the attackers have to plant a reality tearing Rift Point Device at one of the two locations available on the map and the defenders have to put it off before it explodes.

Now, as the defenders aim to thwart the device, the game ends either with the device exploding or one of the teams being completely wiped off. This leads us to another game feature, i.e., there are no respawns in the game. Also, the team that wins a total of 7 rounds, wins the game. Well, another interesting feature is that the teams swap sides after the 6th round, with attackers becoming the defenders and vice-versa.

So, that’s the synopsis of how the game works. Let’s move ahead with what to expect from this game launch.

Understanding the Ballistic Way

The game begins with you having a Ranger Pistol and 800 Credits. Credits are points that can be consumed to buy new weapons when the round begins. These can be earned by eliminating players from the contender team and by planting the device successfully.

As you play the game, you can drop weapons for your teammates or pick them up from eliminated players. Also, as you survive one round, you can have unused weapons for the next round. But, if the bomb blasts and you die in the explosion, you lose all your gears.

Fortnite Ballistic also has a scorecard for you to have a quick look at what your teammates are doing and the weapons they are using.

Fortnite Ballistic: Initial Impressions

The gaming world has been pretty eager to test out Epic’s first ever FPS game. However, gamers have mixed reviews about the same. Read here to know our take on it.

The game appears very similar to Counter-Strike, Call of Duty’s competitive search mode and Valorant. Like all these games, you pick up pistols and grenades and plant devices that explode as per the map. All in all, the game does not feel fresh and turns out to be a disappointment. It seems like the developers tried mastering the referred games but failed.

But, if you are a die-hard Fortnite fan, the game is very different from what you have played so far, proving it to be the first ever FPS game coming from EPIC. However, the game has certain limitations as it is in early access mode and there is a lot more to come.  So, it is too early to judge. But, you can always check it out for yourself.
