Found just east of the castle, Doom’s Courtyard has some much-needed loot. Since things have calmed down here, it is a good spot for stocking up before entering more significant battles. Some sneaky moves around this area may catch an enemy or two off guard.
4. Doomstadt
A quiet village… that is, if you do not consider the fact that Doom rules it. Doomstadt is Mysterio’s favourite hangout place; he’s no slouch in battle, either. Mysterio’s illusion powers make them create clones, making it challenging to determine who real is. This POI is also contested hotly among players, so you could get into some brutal battles if you drop here.
Secrets of the Absolute Doom Map
So, what’s the big secret this season? Well, aside from the epic POIs, there are a few hidden details you’ll want to keep an eye out for:
- Marvel-themed chests: There are a number of these throughout the map. They hold some of the best loot in the game. Be sure to keep an eye out for these, especially the large one that looks like the chest from the Doom trailer.
- Loads of ambush spots: With this newly added biome and litter of trees and structures all around, loads of ambush spots are available. Take the advantage of terrain and surprise them at the most unsuitable time.
- Mysterio’s clones: This is a tricky one. Mysterio’s illusion powers mean he can create multiple copies of himself during a fight, making it hard to tell which one is the real him. Take your time, study his moves, and strike when you’re sure you’ve found the real Mysterio.
The Best Strategies for the Absolute Doom Map
You will need to change strategies to find life in this new Fortnite landscape. Here are some tips for getting started:
- Land in less crowded areas: The new POIs are amazing but really crowded at the moment. Land in less crowded areas and gear up before pushing into the more contested areas.
- Use the biome to your advantage: The new medieval grassland biome is extremely wooded and covered in natural cover. Use this for yourself to creep around the map and set ambushes on your opponents.
- Take on the bosses carefully: Emma Frost and Doctor Doom are formidable foes. Please ensure you’re well-equipped before taking them on, and don’t forget to watch out for other players trying to third-party you!
