Plot That’ll Make You Think Twice
The storyline of Evotinction is very, very intriguing! It hooked me from the starting as I was thrown into a heavy tech facility. An AI malfunction has led to a robot uprising and now you gotta sneak your way through, figuring out how all went down, and prevent AI from doing further damage.
I don’t wanna give too much away, but what I liked most was the real-life feeling in the game. You actually feel like stuff happens due to the choices you make. And if you make wrong decisions, it will hit you hard!
Gameplay: Stealth and Hacking Vibes
So, I should say that Evotinction gameplay will require you to be patient and use some strategy. You cannot just pick up the guns and start shooting. You will have to use knives and some hacking devices to carry out missions. As you will be given stealth missions, pursuing them cleverly should be your goal.
Mind you, hacking is gonna be your primary objective. You can receive various weapons for killing and changing your surroundings. If suffocating a security bot’s attention is too complicated for you, then try to hack it and play with its sensitive parts. Or there’s a hack that turns off the lasers, too. But you have to use these instruments very cunningly because it won’t be a good idea to run into a room full of enemies without a proper plan.
Graphics & Design: Techy and Clean
The graphics of Evotinction give the impression of a very advanced, high-tech future. The shades are appealing, and the neon lights make you feel as though you are locked in some technologically advanced lab.
Even more impressive is how the visuals are incorporated into the gameplay. The places aren’t just eye candy! They also facilitate how one moves and how one engages. You’ll do some cover shooting behind crates, crawling through air ducts, and system hacking in order to progress. Everything seems quite well-structured and well-designed.
One thing I will say, though, in my Evotinction review is that a few of the enemy designs were at times very bland. The bots in particular began to all look the same after a certain period which made it a little repetitve. That’s a slight grievance, but where everything else within the game is this polished.

The sound in Evotinction is very peaceful and rather slow but in a good sense. Most of the time they are just electronic beats which suit perfectly in the context of hacking. With this type of play you not really getting anything high pitched which is logical, because you are mostly doing stealth approach.
You could tell the machine moving, the noise of robots crashing and the whizz of your equipment as you execute one of the many hacks in the game. It enhances the feel of the game, as one can picture being in that rather bleak environment.
