Calling all Helldivers! Calling all Helldivers! The illuminates are back and running a sinister plot deep within the heart of Super Earth. The new Helldivers 2 was showcased at The Game Awards revealing many new features now available in the game with new missions, a sinister new faction, finally a drivable vehicle, and more.

A New Faction

The illuminates missing for almost a century are now back with the first Helldivers sent back into the shadows, the old foe has emerged again. The Illuminate are some of the most challenging foes the players have come across with their highly advanced technology, the Illuminates are intelligent beings with the ability to control the minds of average citizens with dark magic.

New Colony Mission

The Illimunates have taken to the streets of Super Earth and brought the fight straight to the saviors of the alliance. The new Omean of Tyranny update is introducing close-quarter combat with narrow pathways and dark alleys, not the big open spaces the Helldivers are accustomed to. One wrong turn or maneuver can lead you straight into the hordes of the Voteless.

New Vehicle

With the new threat comes newer means to fend off these new attackers, and that’s where the brand new FRV comes in scattered throughout the colonies. The Fast Recon Vehicle is a brand new addition to Helldivers 2 and players can now use the vehicle to traverse the landscape and mow down any Illuminates at high speed.

The Helldivers 2 Omens of Tyranny update is now available for the PlayStation 5 and PC. Players can jump straight into the game today and enjoy the update and all its new offerings.
