Developed by Dlala Studios and published by Disney, Illusion Island was initially released on July 28, 2023, for Nintendo Switch. This time, it will be released for other platforms in late May, with a new name – Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends, along with updates and features. The update includes:
- Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt (C.A.S.H.): Continue your adventure in Monoth alongside Scrooge McDuck, with a new ability, Dig! C.A.S.H. helps you make upgrades permanent and explore in the Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt.
- Mystery Island: In Disney Illusion Island, Monoth is filled with curious clues, and you must help Dash Dolphin find them. On this fun adventure, you must locate clues, close cases, and solve this brand-new mystery.
- Time Trial Mode: Grab collectibles throughout Monoth and race to the finish line in the best time possible in a new time trial mode.
Release Date and Platforms
Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends is set to debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The single/multiplayer adventure game will be available on May 30, 2025. This date also marks the release of some of the most anticipated games of 2025, such as EA Sports F1 25 and Elden Ring Nightreign.
The brand-new Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt update will also be available to download on Nintendo Switch on the same day. The physical copies for PlayStation and Xbox will launch on the same day; however, in Europe, players will need to wait until June 27, 2025.
