The gaming community has been ablaze after the recent Game Awards, coming with many new game announcements and exciting news for the gaming industry. 10 Chambers revealed their up-and-coming futuristic co-op heist shooter, Den of Wolves. With the latest gameplay trailer showcased at the game awards, many fans are excited about Den of Wolves and its futuristic setting with co-op gameplay mechanics and the added element of heists and robberies. Den of Wolves Setting & Story
Den of Wolves is an upcoming co-op FPS shooter developed by the creators of PAYDAY: The Heist, PAYDAY 2, and GTFO. Known for their cooperative shooters, 10 Chambers are now all set to develop the next game under their banner with Den of Wolves taking hints and ideas combined together by the studio. Players will assume the roles of criminals for hire and executer a series of heists, assassinations, espionage, and acts of sabotage against the corporates in Midway City.
Midway City will be the player’s playground, a corporate haven established by corporations to counter global data security threats by advanced AIs. The city itself is a corporate haven with high-rise skyscrapers and futuristic buildings, showing a blight of age and humanities advancements in the future where human brains are utilized for data transmission and storage.
Gameplay & Combat
The player can have up to 3 players join their game in a total of 4-player co-op mechanics similar to the PAYDAY Series. Tasked with assembling a crew to plan and execute high-stakes heists, the players will be able to transition between stealth and full-blown action. As showcased in the reveal trailer for the game, players saw a plethora of weapons, gadgets, and equipment from futuristic weapons, grenades, field generators, and more.
Set in a futuristic setting players can expect to get their hands on all sorts of crazy weapons and an arsenal fit for the job. Players will have to cooperate amongst themselves and plan the missions carefully as teamwork is the key to tackling harder difficulties and high-risk jobs, and without team work it can all go south superfast.
Platforms and Release Date
Den of Wolves was first announced at The Game Awards in 2024, with its first-ever gameplay trailer at the latest edition of the game. Den of Wolves will make it to Early Access on PC in 2025 with a console release later on for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S. 10 Chambers are looking forward to fully supporting the game post-launch and DLC down the line adding new content, missions, weapons, characters and more to the game.
