PlayStation users are in for a treat this December with Sony announcing a free multiplayer weekend celebrating PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. All PlayStation regardless if they have subscribed to the PS Plus subscription or not can access a weekend of free multiplayer gaming, with any of their owned games. During the special weekend, players can explore the online multiplayer mode for free on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.
Free PlayStation Weekend
The Free Weekend will allow all PlayStation users on the PS4 & PS5 to play any of their owned games multiplayer modes. All they require is a stable internet connection and a PSN Account. In celebration of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, the weekend will be hosted from December 6 and running through December 8th.
This is a perfect opportunity to try out the multiplayer modes of your owned games all for free and without the need for the PS Plus Subscription, with the weekend providing an ample amount of time to get a few games in with the old squad.
Win 30-Months of PS Plus Subscription
This is not it as Sony is hosting an online competition for all users on the PlayStation 4&5. For every user participating, Sony will be awarding 30 people in every participating country for a total of 780 winners to be awarded with a 30-month subscription to PS Plus for free. For a chance to win this subscription players must purchase a PS Plus Deluxe subscription and play any game from the Classic Catalog from December 10 to December 23. Those who already own the subscription, only need to play any of the games from the Classic catalog. 26 countries are participating in the pot-luck for the 30-month Subscription for PS Plus.
Criteria for Participants
- Get a PS Plus Deluxe subscription between December 10 and 23.
- Play any game from the Classics Catalog.
- Join the event if you’re in one of these countries:
Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, or Malaysia.
