The legendary Junji Ito is joining the squad, bringing new creepy skins to the game. This is surely the collaboration we didn’t see coming, but now we realize how much we needed it! This update with new skins is set to launch on 7th January 2025, so be prepared! The exciting news for this collaboration was featured in the recent live stream of the game, which also detailed its new Doomed Course chapter. This surely sounds like the ultimate horror collab that will breathe new life into the characters.
Who is Junji Ito?
Junji Ito is a renowned, award-winning manga artist who is best known for his spectacular work in the horror genre. He used disturbing imagery to portray characters and environments, elevating the horror to new heights. He has a massive fan following and has produced a lot of art in the industry including his latest Uzumaki, a story about a town cursed by spirals, leading to a variety of terrifying events. Uzumaki is one of his most acclaimed and celebrated works, and we can’t wait to see what terror he is going to bring in Dead by Daylight.
About Dead by Daylight
Dead by Daylight is a massively famous, online multiplayer horror game, where players take on one of two roles: Survivors or Killers. The Survivors’ goal is to work together to repair generators and escape the map while avoiding being caught by the Killer. The Killer’s job is to hunt down the Survivors and trap them, ultimately sacrificing them to a mysterious force. Moreover, the game is intense, with each match being a mix of stealth, strategy, and fast action, and it features many different Killers, each with unique powers and abilities.

Junji Ito is going to create 2 Legendary Skins for The Artist and The Spirit, and 6 rare skins for Killers and Survivors. The Artist will get a special skin inspired by Miss Fuchi, a creepy character from Junji Ito’s stories who is known for being a cannibal. Meanwhile, The Spirit will have a new look based on Tomie, another famous character from Junji Ito’s work, and she will have a second face growing out of her head! The skins seem extremely horrifying and are enough to give one nightmares. Furthermore, the skins will come along with fresh audio to make it more tense and terrifying.
