Cyberpunk Update 2.3 Adds New Vehicles, Photomode Features, & More

It has been a fantastic year for Cyberpunk 2077 and its fans so far. First, it was released on Nintendo Switch 2 last month. Second, it is now available on the PlayStation Plus Catalog as of 15 July 2025. Now, it has received a major new update after more than six months. CD Projekt Red, the developers of this open-world game, continue to expand and enhance Night City, making it one of the most unique games out there to date. Let’s explore what changes and improvements the Cyberpunk Update 2.3 brings and which platforms it is available on.

Paweł Sasko, Associate Game Director of Cyberpunk 2, and Adrien Jouannet, Lead Designer at Virtuos, hosted the second REDStream, which fans had been anticipating for some time. Although many fans speculated that Update 2.2 wasn’t the last for Night City, during the first REDStream, it was confirmed that the game would receive another major update. While it was announced to be streamed last month by the CDPR team, it was streamed last night. The update coincides with the release of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation Plus.

Expanded Photomode Options

Expanded Photomode options in the update 2.3 allow 27 new NPCs that can be spawned in Photo Mode, including Rita Wheeler, the Cassel twins, fixers, Dum Dum, the iguana, Brendan, and more. A new tab allows customization of the time of day and weather conditions, including rain, acid rain, fog, sandstorm, pollution, and sunshine.

Characters now have customizable outfits to add to shots, wardrobe changes for V based on saved wardrobes, and a customization option for eye movement without altering the pose. These changes also come with tweaks to lighting, framing, overlay quotes, and more.

Automated Driving and Delamian Cab

The new Autodrive feature takes you to your selected destination, i.e., job objective or place pinned on the map. And if you have no set destination, you can just sit back and enjoy the leisurely ride through the streets of Night City in cinematic view, especially implemented for autodrive. One thing that players should keep in mind is that the Autodrive feature will be disabled when you enter combat or if your vehicle sustains heavy damage.
