Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Patch Notes & Features

CD Projekt Red just revealed its latest Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 and wow, this was out of nowhere and the amount of features added to the game is crazy. During their latest REDstream CDPR revealed all features including new customization options for cars, character customization, new cars, revamped photo mode and so much more. Let’s dig right into the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Patch Notes & Features.

New Car Customisation & Scan Feature

The new patch completely overhauled the car customization mechanics of cyberpunk with the new and improved CrystalCoat mechanic, where players were able to change the paint jobs on the Rayfield car models. Now with the new Patch 2.2 more vehicle manufacturers have the ability to use the CrystaCoat on vehicles made by Quadra, Villefort, Mizutani, and Herrera. Players can now also change the coat of their cars to avoid the wanted level by NCPD and lose the wanted status much faster.

The biggest change to the customization is the player’s ability to scan any car in Night City and unlock the same paint job for their car for a small price in-game. Players can also change up the color schemes of their vehicles with the added ability of increasing and decreasing the hues of the paint job to make it either more shiny or dull up the car according to their preference. This function will be compatible with vehicles that are represented by a Spraycan icon in-game on the Autofixer website.

10 New Vehicles

The update also added ten brand-new cars to the game with new models from Mizutani & Quadra manufacturers. Out of the 10 new vehicles two can only be accessed through the Phantom Liberty Expansion while the rest of the 8 vehicles come included with the base game.

  • Mizutani Shion MZ1
  • Mizutani Shion Targa MZT
  • Thorton Galena GA32t
  • Thorton Colby CST40
  • Archer Quartz EC-L r275

  • Quadra Type-66 680 TS
  • Mahir Supron FS3-T
  • Villefort Deleon V410-S Coupe (Phantom Liberty only)

The Photo Mode for Cyberpunk 2077 also received tweaks and additions with the players having the ability to spawn three NPCs in the photo mode, create new sources of lights and adjustments, greater camera control and angles. The Drone camera is also now set free and with a no-clipping into V and increases maximum distance. For PC players the Photo Mode now can support custom resolutions in-game for much crispier and higher quality captures.

Players can now display their captured pictures from the Photo Mode in V’s apartment through SmartFrames. Players can customize their apartment frames and display their captures in whatever preference suits them.
