Cyberpunk 2077 Mac Version Now Available for Apple Silicon

The latest REDStream hosted by Paweł Sasko, Associate Game Director of Cyberpunk 2, and Adrien Jouannet, Lead Designer at Virtuos, provided an overview of the new major update – 2.3. This update demonstrates CD Projekt Red’s goal to reach as many players as possible, as last month it was also released on Nintendo Switch 2. Cyberpunk 2077 Mac Version

The Mac version of the game was announced back in October 2024 during Apple’s unveiling of the new M4‑equipped MacBook Pro lineup. At that time, CD Projekt Red committed to launching it in early 2025. Eight months after the announcement, the wait is finally over, and Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition will be available for Mac with Apple Silicon for download from the Mac App Store and other PC storefronts. Players who already own the game on PC won’t have to pay again. Limited Edition includes:

Cyberpunk 2077 Mac System Requirements

The best part about this release is that Cyberpunk 2077 will run on almost any Mac with Apple Silicon, dating back to the original M1. The minimum requirements for playability are at least 16GB of unified RAM, macOS 15.5, and 159GB of storage when downloaded from the Mac App Store and 92GB of storage when downloaded from other PC storefronts. Additionally, any Mac with a Pro, Max, or Ultra chip of any generation will meet these requirements. Other system requirements as as follows:

Update 2.3

Update 2.3 is the first major update Cyberpunk 2077 has received in 2025, following Update 2.2 in December 2024. It introduces four new vehicles that can be unlocked after completing new quests. It also enhances the photo mode, giving players more flexibility and creativity with their images. Additionally, it adds new features like Automated Driving and more. For now, this update is live on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The update will also be hitting Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 later.

Cyberpunk 2077 Mac Release Date & Summary

Announced in 2024, the Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is finally coming to Mac. It will be available for download from the Mac App Store and other PC storefronts starting July 17, 2025. PC owners of the game won’t need to purchase it again to play on Mac. The release coincides with Update 2.3 and the game’s availability on PlayStation Plus.
