CDPR Announces Unexpected Cyberpunk 2077 2.2 Update

Cyberpunk fans are hyped up as CDPR announces an unexpected update for Cyberpunk 2077. The developers announced on Monday their plans to hold a live stream on December 10 for the game and announce a new Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 bringing fixes to the game along with new features. This has surprised many fans as the developers were seemingly done with Cyberpunk 2077 after the Phantom Liberty DLC and moved focus to The Witcher 4.

This announcement for a new update for Cyberpunk 2077 comes at a very unexpected time coinciding with the 4th anniversary of the game on December 10th. All the while the majority of CD Projekt Red is all hands on deck with the new Witcher game, now in full production. The developers on Monday stated on their social media “Join us for a new episode of REDstreams, where we’ll dive deep into the new features Coming Soon TM for Cyberpunk 2077 in Update 2.2.”

Nothing is concrete at the moment as to what the update holds but this is for sure that no major changes are coming to the game. CDPR already stated no interest in an upgrade patch for the PS5 Pro and also shot down any chances of a Newgame+ Mode for Cyberpunk 2077. The CDPR’s global community director promised a lot of cool stuff is on the way for the game and fans will know more about the update on the new episode of REDstream live on December 10, 5 PM CET.

This unexpected announcement for Cyberpunk 2077 2.2 Update caught many off-guard as just recently CDPR pulled all devs from the game. To focus on other projects including the Witcher 4, a new Witcher multiplayer game, and the remake of the first Witcher game.
