D-Tier Blue Archive Characters

The D-tier holds some of the weakest Blue Archive characters. In this section, you will find lesser characters as all of them are utterly undesirable. This can be because of many reasons. Their base rarity is too low, causing them to have low base stats. Skills and abilities do not feel as rewarding to use. Or, simply because there are multiple better options available that can replace them. Avoid using these characters at all costs or wait till they get a buff.

Blue Archive Character Roles Explained

So, you’re planning to build your first proper Blue Archive team? We feel the pressure, but don’t worry as we are here to guide you! Firstly, you need to understand that all Blue Archive characters are placed in specific roles according to which they function. Each role has their pros and cons. Blue Archive character roles are as follows:

  • DPS – DPS characters in Blue Archive are often the backbone of all teams. They are your primary source of dealing damage to enemies. Often placed in the back or middle, DPS characters are notorious for dealing several types of damage. To build an ideal team in Blue Archive, DPS characters are a grave must. Try to include at least 2 of them in your formations.
  • Healer – Blue Archive healer type characters are some of the most in-demand. You can entrust them the responsibility of providing consistent heals to the allies in the formation. Try to use at least 1 or 2 of them, depending on your needs. Healer characters are usually placed in the middle or front in most situations.
  • Supporter – Supporter characters are used extensively in Blue Archive formations. This is because some supporters can also double down as healers in the game, thanks to their unique abilities. You should use either 1 or 2 supports, depending on your suitability.
  • Tank – Tanks in Blue Archive are characters who have high resiliences and defenses. They also have high HP pools to expend, and are usually placed in the frontlines. Tank characters are a must to have in any Blue Archive formation. You should try to place at least 1 tank student in your team’s frontline.

Blue Archive Character Positions Explained

Each character in Blue Archive is placed in one of three positions – Front, Middle, or Back. Each position has a meaning behind them, and all characters prefer a specific position. While placing them wrong is not game-breaking, it can lead to some difficulties, especially in tougher content. Blue Archive character positions are as follows:

  • Front – Characters in the front will like to go more up, close, and personal with the enemies. They will not maintain their distance away from them, instead directly go towards them. Tank characters are best placed in the front.
  • Middle – Characters placed in the middle will always stay in between your backline and frontline. It can be safe to place your DPS or Supports/Healers in the middle.
  • Back – The backline is the most sought-after position to place your DPS characters. You can also choose to place low-HP supports or healers in the backline. Characters who are placed in the back will always try to maintain a safe distance from the enemies.
