Treyarch has now released the gameplay trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies, picking up right after where the reveal trailer left off with the Requiem Crew being released from their jail cells and now ready to face an onslaught of yet another Zombie Outbreak on the new map Terminus Island along with newer weapons, perks, enemy types and a giant tentacled monster. Let’s have a look.
Overview
The Black Ops 6 Zombies trailer showcased the Terminus mam extensively, with many of its sections put on display. The map’s aesthetic and vibe look similar to the previous zombie maps, Black Ops 4 Mob of the Dead and Zetsubo No Shima, with a very dark and gritty look to the whole ordeal. The map also features various traps, new perks, and abilities. Also returning is the Mangler from previous games. We also see the return of fan favourites like the Gobblegum machine, PhD Slider perk, and Monkey Bombs.
New Enemy types
Zombies yet again offer new and varied types of enemies, or you can say zombies in the new Black Ops 6 Zombies trailer, with your regular average mill of the day zombies and runners, but the trailer also showcased enemies that morph into massive spiders, a giant tentacle creature by the beach, and parasites types of enemies. However, the highlight is a new grotesque mini-boss composed of multiple zombies fused together called the Amalgams.
Mystery Boxes
Players, when facing the Zombie onslaught will be able to use Mystery Boxes placed throughout the map and can open them using a new currency being introduced in Black Ops 6 Zombies called Essence, This will allow players to get a random weapon out from the Mystery box. Moreover, the weapons will have a certain rarity to them, as known by previous zombie fans, being Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary. Players will be able to obtain better rarity items on higher zombie levels with also the inclusion of Wonder Weapons like the Ray Gun.
New Weapons
Well, it won’t be fun battling the Hordes of Zombies if the players aren’t armed to the teeth with fun weapons and unique equipment that will give them the edge over these abominations. The trailer included many new and classic weapons returning to the series, including the Beammasher and the Jet gun.
Omnimovement
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 introduces a revolutionary new movement system called Omnimovement, designed to enhance the player experience by offering unprecedented control during both exploration and combat. With Omnimovement, players can effortlessly traverse the map and fully control their movements in combat, including diving, strafing, and sidestepping, with complete 360-degree manoeuvrability. This feature extends to Zombies mode, ensuring players have the same level of fluid control in every game mode. Additionally, a new Supine Prone position has been added, allowing players to maintain a 360-degree viewing angle while prone, giving them a strategic advantage in combat situations.
