The building anticipation around Battlefield 6 can’t go unnoticed. After all, Battlefield is returning after almost 4 years. And the fans have been waiting for some action. And now, the wait is finally over, as Battlefield 6 launches today, October 10, 2025. With over 512,00 players at peak in the Open Beta (and the biggest Open Beta yet for any Battlefield game), everyone has a lot of hope for BF 6. It features new and returning maps at launch and will continue to bring new maps with each new season. For now, let’s take a look at all the confirmed Battlefield 6 Maps, game Modes, and Battlefield Portal details below.
Although many things were leaked for Battlefield 6 during the Open Beta weekends in August, the main leaks surrounded the multiplayer game. These included Battlefield 6 leaked maps for both multiplayer and campaign. Alongside gadgets, classes, editions, and more. Although these leaks included many maps and game modes, only some will be available at the launch on October 10, 2025.
Battlefield 6 Launch Maps
Battlefield 6 maps leaks revealed around 15 multiplayer maps. These include a mix of new maps and four remastered maps from previous entries in the series. Out of these, only 9 multiplayer maps will be available at launch, including only one returning map from Battlefield 3.
New and Returning Battlefield Maps:
Liberation Peak: A massive battlefield set in the mountains of Tajikistan, featuring rocky terrain for intense combined arms combat. Expect jets and helicopters battling above while tanks and infantry fight for elevation and control.
Empire State: An infantry-only map in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Battles play out across city streets, rooftops, and alleys. Designed for fast-paced, close-quarters combat without vehicles. This is one of the best Battlefield 6 maps.
Manhattan Bridge: Another Battlefield 6 map based in New York. Squads face off beneath the iconic Manhattan Bridge. This map features a mix of close-quarters street battles and large-scale destruction.

New Sobek City: Set on the outskirts of Cairo, this map combines sandy construction sites with dunes. Supports all-out warfare with tanks, helicopters, and infantry. Making it an all-in-one Battlefield 6 map.

Mirak Valley: The biggest Battlefield 6 map at launch, this war-torn valley is built for true all-out warfare. Every vehicle type – tanks, jets, helicopters, and more – can be used in this new Battlefield 6 map.

Siege of Cairo: Another map based in Cairo, but this one involves urban combat in central Cairo, featuring tight alleyways and building interiors. Infantry and tanks compete in close fights.

Iberian Offensive: Battle through the winding streets and alleys of Gibraltar. For this new BF 6 map, players can expect heavy tanks and soldiers to clash in destructible environments.

Saints Quarter: Set in Gibraltar’s Old Town, this is a close-quarters, infantry-only map. Focused around a fountain square, this new Battlefield 6 map makes you engage fast. It features destructible buildings providing dynamic cover and constant action.

Operation Firestorm: A remake of the beloved Battlefield 3 map, set in a burning oil field. This map goes hand in hand with infantry, tanks, helicopters, & jets all fighting for control amid fire, smoke, and oil.

Note
In a Q&A session with GNN, Battlefield 6 Development Director Anna Narrevik said that when there aren’t enough players in multiplayer games, AI bots will fill the empty spots. This isn’t new for shooters or the Battlefield series, since Battlefield 2042 used bots the same way. But many players don’t like this method for matchmaking. For example, a lot of Call of Duty fans complained about Warzone Mobile using too many bots, saying it made games less fun and unbalanced because teams with more real players won too easily.

- Team Deathmatch: Two teams fight for the most kills, no vehicles.
- Squad Deathmatch: Four squads compete to reach kill goals fast.
- Domination: Infantry-only mode focused on capturing fewer points quickly.
- King of the Hill: Teams fight to control a single zone that changes location throughout the match.
- Escalation (New): In Escalation, capture points on the edges of the map disappear over time. Pushing objectives into the center, forcing constant movement and fights.
Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Mode

Another Battlefield 6 game mode, which is a Battle Royale mode, will also be included in the game at a later date. Set in California, the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Mode will be a free-to-play experience available on all platforms. The playing area will close over time with a fire ring engulfing the map as the match rages on, similar to the Firestorm game mode in Battlefield V.

Players will have to capture objectives and complete milestones to unlock vehicles and powerful loadouts. The Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode will feature solo play and a four-player squad mechanic.
