The much-awaited Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be finally released on March 20th of this year. Up until now, Assassin’s Creed shadows only revealed two of its characters to the world, namely Naoe the Shinobi and Yasuke the Samurai. While the fans are already excited about the launch, Assassin’s Creed revealed a poster on Twitter recently that displayed new characters of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The Main Characters
There are two main characters in the Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Naoe
She is a young shinobi from the Iga Province who happens to find herself on a dangerous yet transformative journey after her village comes under attack. Trained by her father in stealth, she embodies the classic Assassin archetype, with an emphasis on agility, cunning, and precision. Her story is filled with resilience and self-discovery. In the game, she will emphasize stealth, and parkour and also utilize tools like a grappling hook, and smoke bombs and use her kunai to defeat enemies.
Yasuke
He is an African Samurai and is inspired by a real historical figure who served under Oda Nobunaga. From being an outsider he later becomes one of the most respected warriors in Nobunaga’s court. Yasuke’s tale is all about his struggle for acceptance his deep loyality towards Nobunaga and the challenges he has to face in a foreign land. Coming to his fighting style is very different from Naoe’s. He is an expert in direct combat using his swords and heavy weapons.
Supporting Characters
As of now, there are two supporting characters in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Oda Nobunaga
Oda Nobunaga is portrayed as an important figure in Assassin’s Creed Shadows as he will be playing a crucial part in the game campaigns. In the game narrative, Nabunaga’s interaction with Naoe and Yasuke will be pivotal. Yasuke is highly loyal and serves under Nabunaga. This will give plates insight into daimyō’s strategies and ambitions. On the contrary, Naoe’s village has come under attack from Nabunaga’s campaigns.
Fujibayashi Nagato
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Fujibayashi Nagato is depicted as a high-ranking ninja from the Iga Province and the father of Naoe. Due to the looming and ongoing threat to their community, he decided to train Naoe in ninjutsu, ensuring that she became a powerful warrior. He embodies the leader and the valor of the Iga clan and passes the same values to her daughter. In a historical aspect, Fujibayashi Nagato proved to be a significant figure in preserving the shinobi culture during the conflicts with warlords like Oda Nobunaga.
The New Characters Reveal
Assassin’s Creed Shadows posted an art on Twitter recently that revealed many new characters. On the top right of the artwork, you can see Oda Nobunaga, a historical figure also known as “the great unifier of Japan who is set to play an important role in the campaign. Furthermore, you can also see Fujibayashi Nagato in the center of the artwork, a master ninja of the Iga clan.
Apart from this, you can see a woman with a head wrap, judging by the looks of it, an enemy clan member on the left side of Yasuke. Not much has been revealed about the remaining characters in the artwork, so all we can do now is just speculate.
