The Storyline is Awesome
I really loved the storyline as it matches those of the cute cartoons we watch on television. You take the role of an adorable dinosaur who arrives on an ancient island that needs rebuilding.It was once a thriving place but now it needs attention, and it’s on you to save it now.
Your main role is to be the village’s only shopkeeper, and fulfill the needs of the inhabitants. You will also discover the island’s history, unlock many secrets, and make friends along the way. You will build a lively community once again and ensure that all animals co-exist happily.
The Gameplay is even Better
The Amber Isle gameplay is all about simulation and strategy. You will be running and managing your shop, gathering resources, crafting items, and a lot more. My favorite part was where you could customize your shop and even decorate it to attract customers. You can use your profits to unlock new decoration materials, walls, floors, and other useful items.
You will also have to carefully manage your inventory and keep proper pricing to build a successful business. Along the way, you’ll unlock new crafting recipes and shop upgrades, transforming your cozy store into a popular hub that helps the community prosper.
The Map of the Island
Amber Isle is small but diverse and has a lot to explore. You will see the map in the bottom right corner of the screen, and you can track your whereabouts and different locations through it. Each location has some hidden secrets and collectibles that cannot be missed. You will have to bring these items back to your shop and so on. You will also have to work on improving the areas to make them livable again for the inhabitants. Overall, it is very fun.
Your Shop and Customers
Once you’ve set up your shop, you will start attracting customers. Of course, as yours is the only shop on the island, everyone has high expectations from you. It’s your responsibility to set the right prices and offer the right products to the right customer. Your customers will either buy the product at once or try a good bargain.
Some customers might even ask for suggestions or request custom-made items, offering better rewards in return. You will also have to keep yout shop clean as customer might dirty the floor or walls. You will have to maintain a good balance between taking care of the shop and handling your customers.
I Loved the Palefolks
Talking about the Paleofolks, they are so cool! They are these prehistoric creatures living on the island whom you can be friends with. Apart from dinosaurs, they include Ice Age mammals, Permian amphibians, marine life, invertebrates, and more. Each Paleofolk has its own personality, quirks, and backstory, and that’s what makes them so unique and fun to explore.
You will have to assist them in tasks, share goods for trade, or simply chat with them to learn more about their life. Gradually, these creatures will become an essential part of your journey. If you maintain healthy relationships with them, you receive some special items, recipes, and stories from them that will help you progress in the game.
You can Design your own Paleofolk
Coming to the best part of this Amber Isle review, you can design your own Paleofolk! This is one of the most fun parts of the game. You can customize their appearance with various features, from their colors and shapes to their accessories that showcase their personality. The design possibilities are endless, and you can make them look cute, quirky, or completely wild.
