Ghost of Yotei Deep Dive
As we already have a release date for Ghost of Yotei (October 2, 2025), Sony announced a dedicated State of Play episode focusing on Ghost of Yotei, the anticipated sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. This special presentation is set to air in July and will provide an in-depth look at new and evolved gameplay mechanics, including exploration and combat.
Project Defiant: Sony’s First Wireless Fight Stick
In addition to all the games and the Ghost of Yotei Deep Dive set for July, one of the other major announcements during Sony’s State of Play event was Sony’s first wireless fight stick, codenamed Project Defiant. The design of the fight stick was showcased at the State of Play event for only about 30 seconds.

Many games are scheduled for 2026, but some interesting titles, such as FBC: Firebreak and the PlayStation Plus Classic Catalog, will update and go live in summer 2025. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls really caught my eye—Arc System Works bringing their signature anime-style flair to a Marvel roster sounds like a dream match-up. Also excited to see Final Fantasy Tactics return; the Ivalice setting has so much depth, and it’ll be interesting to see how the enhanced remaster updates the experience for modern players.
