Tomb Raider Games over the years has left a mark on gamers. Even the latest edition in the series Rise of the Tomb Raider caught the eyes of the fans with its stunning scripted action scenes and open areas that are waiting to be explored. Continuing Lara Croft’s legacy, Crystal Dynamics is now bringing Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered to players on February 14th. Let’s talk about what the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Release is aiming to bring to the table.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Games
This remastered collection will feature three iconic games of the Tomb Raider lineup, these are Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation – Lara Croft comes across the long-lost tomb of the ancient Egyptian God Set. She then accidentally releases him which causes an ancient prophecy to come true. This as a result brings darkness to the world. The game features exploration and puzzle-solving with players guiding Lara through various levels filled with traps, puzzles, and hidden treasures.

Tomb Raider: Chronicles – This game is set after the events of the Last Revelation where Lara Craft is trapped in an Egyptian Cave and is believed to be dead. Her friends and allies gather at her memorial share memories and uncover secrets from her past. Just like any other Tom Raider game, exploration is on emphasis here but what makes the game better is the introduction of new game mechanics such as tightrope walking and sneaking past enemies.

Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness – Lara has been accused of murder. She then goes on a run while coming across a dark plot involving alchemy experiments and the hunt for ancient artifacts. Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness takes on a much darker tone as compared to the previous ones and the gameplay is more story-driven.
Remastered Features Comparison
As compared to the original versions, Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is coming with a lot of improvements.

- Better Graphics: The original installments of the game had graphics that were considered good and in many cases advanced for their time but would be considered dated as of today. That’s why the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is coming with new and enhanced graphics. But here’s the good part though, if happen to feel nostalgic and want to play the game in the same old-fashioned way, you can! You can also switch to remastered graphics if you want.
- Better Controls: Players will have the ability to play the games with their old-fashioned tank-style controls. But since gameplay controls have come a long way, it can feel a bit cumbersome. For players who want to experience the games with modern controls, they can do that as well. This will allow for smoother movement and camera handling.
- Additional Content: The core content of the games will remain the same. However, there is an inclusion of a new level called the “Times Exclusive”. Plus, the much-awaited feature “Photo Mode” is also back. Players would be able to share the new and enhanced beauty of the remastered editions with the community as well.
