Activision cracking down hard on cheaters ahead of Black Ops 6 Launch

Call of Duty has long been plagued by cheaters across different generations of gaming consoles and PCs. Whether it was the first Modern Warfare or the latest MW3, the series has had its fair share of players using illicit mods and cheats to ruin the multiplayer experience for others. With the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 right around the corner, Activision is cracking down hard on cheaters ahead of the Black Ops 6 Launch with their new AI cheat detection program and more.

Anti Cheat program

Call of Duty has used the Richochet System to defend itself against cheaters on all platforms. The program’s AI can detect and ban cheaters based on the algorithm and programs running while the game is being played. Now Activision has also warned that the program will ban cheaters within one hour of their first match being played. The AI will be a core defense against cheaters and notorious players.

In Addition to the anti-cheat system, Black Ops 6 will also see the return of the Prestige system. Prestige is making its comeback, with 10 classes being reintroduced to multiplayer. Prestige will not be linked to any seasonal update, and players will be able to reach the max level on day one without hindrance.
